DayStar believes that effective counseling must integrate faith and reasoning with a clinical and biblical formulation/treatment plan. 

DayStar is a non-profit organization, founded by Drs. Jack and Julia Kelly in 1990. DayStar’s purpose and mission is to bring healing and restoration to broken lives, marriages and families. We encourage letting go of the past, living in the present, and hope for the future.  Jack & Julia counsel as a couple to a couple.

Is Christian Counseling Effective? The answer is a resounding "YES"!
In 2007, the National Christian Counseling Association tabulated the latest survey and the results were overwhelming. They found that 92% of those who seek Biblical-based counseling are helped.

Why Is It Effective?
We use clinical skills diagnosing problems and outlining a plan of treatment. Then we couple those findings with an understanding of Biblical truths to help the individual find answers for their problems.

What Methods Are Used?
We use a variety of evaluations, assessments and  other diagnostic means to understand the problems an individual presents to us.

We then use a multi-disciplinary approach to individually design the very best treatment plan for that person. We thereby develop a close working relationship so that of the treatment is personal and caring.

Christian Counseling is a means of using established clinical skills, combining them with Biblical truths to provide personal development and growth toward a satisfying and productive life.
We believe in treating the "whole man" which consists of the body, mind and spirit.

The best way to understand human behavior is to focus attention on the role the past plays in influencing our present thoughts and behaviors. The past can have either a positive or negative impact upon our present behavior contingent upon our choices. Counseling allows us to deal with the past to live in the present and gives hope for the future.

      Jack is an expert entrepreneur with a history of many successful
      businesses including:

• Opus One Coaching - Specializing in personal/executive and corporate coaching

Jack is a nationally recognized speaker on organizational
development, men's issues, and relationships. Jack and his wife, Julia have developed and conducted seminars on marriage, family systems, blended families, and inter/intra personal relationships. They have authored many books including "God's Blueprint for Marriage."

Jack is an Ordained Pastor, and Christian Counselor; Personal/Executive and Corporate Coach, Therapist, Sports Psychologist. He is active in many civic organizations and has officiated basketball and football on the high school, college, and professional levels for over 40 years.

Jack is a gifted teacher with over 30 years experience teaching and public speaking.
